Gulf Shores

This year we decided to take a family vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama. My sister and I found this nice pink house with it's own pool and thought it'd be perfect since it was huge. So we piled into a bunch of cars with my parents, my brother's family, and my sister's family and headed down to the beach to relax for a week.

The cousins all had a blast together. JT and Stephy were always being pulled somewhere by one of the little ones. It was really neat to see the kids play all week, they have so much energy and imagination it's cool to watch.

One of the first days we were there we attempted to take Morgan to the beach but she wanted nothing to do with it. She wouldn't even let us set her down on a blanket in the sand. Needless to say, she spent the majority of her time in the pool. She was a pro by the end of the week and would just float around in her floaties!

Will loved the beach so he spent a good mix of time between the beach and the pool. He was a little afraid of the waves so he wouldn't take his floaties off when he was at the beach even though he wasn't in the water. I think we've got a pretty cautious kid on our hands just like his dad!

Mitch really wanted to see the Naval air museum that was in Pensacola so we packed up the kids and my parents and made the short drive over. I think this was one of the best air museums I've been to. They had tons of airplanes that you could get into and see the cockpits. Will was in awe of all of them.

Even Grandma climbed in one and posed for a picture!

There was a really neat go-kart place that we checked out one of the nights. Morgan was too little for everything but Will was able to go on the bumper boats and ride as a passenger on the go karts. He really liked the bumper boats because they had water guns on them so he was able to squirt Grandma and Alex!

They also had a few kiddie rides that Morgan, Will, and Alex enjoyed including a train, a mini Ferris wheel, and a carousel.

About 30 minutes from our beach house there was an alligator farm that sounded kind of neat so we took all the kids on one of the rainy days. They had a guy come out and feed all the large alligators whole chickens, feathers and all. It was crazy to watch them all swarm the guy. Then they got out a few of the baby alligators and taped their mouths shut and let the kids hold them. I was shocked when Will said he wanted to hold it!

This place also had tons of snakes. They let some pythons just roam around one area and the kids were able to touch them. I have to admit that it freaked me out more than the kids!

Over all it was a fabulous trip! To see all 100 pictures from the trip, check out the family web albums!
