Bowling

The kids and I went to Kokomo two weeks ago to see the Schuetz/Stremlow gang! Sarah, Grandma Ann, and the kiddo's came in for the long weekend for our annual get together. It was a fun-filled weekend and with 8 kids under the age of 7 it was a bit crazy as well.

The first event of the weekend was our bowling adventure. We got everyone suited up in shoes and found balls and the adults were going to bowl on one lane and the kids on the other lane. Well....we quickly realized there was no way that was going to happen. Too many kids that still needed help but it probably even more fun to watch them than it was to bowl. They had a ramp we could use so some of the kids used it and others toddled up with the ball and tried to throw it down the lane.

Reactive Airway Disease

I'm sure most of you that actually read our blog know by now but Morgan was diagnosed with Reactive Airway Disease back in December. The treatment plan is twice daily Pulmicort (steroid) treatments given through a nebulizer machine. The first week of treatments didn't go so well. She fought it as hard as she could and we had to hold her down. She is doing much better now and will actually sit and hold the mask on her face by herself.

The treatments have helped 110% so even though they are kind of pain, I am so so thankful that we found something that worked.

Gymnastics

For about 3 months now, Will and Morgan have been going to gymnastics classes at a local gym. Will is in a 2 year old class and Morgan is in a mommy and me class. They both love it since they get to run around, jump on the trampoline, hang on the bars, etc. It's taken Will almost 10 weeks but he will now go in the class by himself and listen to the teacher the whole class!



Morgan is the monkey of the class and is always asked by the teacher to show the other kids how to do something. As long as she is in a good mood she is more than willing to show off!

Snow!!

This is a little old but we had the first snow of the season at the beginning of January and the kids LOVED it. They did a tiny bit of sledding with a few of the neighbor kids after the initial snow fall.


But once we got more snow they mostly just liked playing in the snow. Will found a shovel and was digging and making snowballs the entire time.

Morgan on the other hand, wanted to make snow angels every chance she could get.

Christmas in Kokomo

New Year's day we headed to Kokomo to do Christmas with all of my family. There are 11 grandkids so it's always a little chaotic but they love seeing all of their cousins. I love getting to see all of my family and I'm so thankful that we can all get together like this!


I'm sure Mitch and Dan will be mad at me for posting this one but I couldn't resist. They were just hanging out after the presents and found these masks from my niece and nephew's new years eve party!

New Year's 2010

Once again this year, the Lupinetti's packed up and spent the night with us on New Year's eve. We also had our friends the Stumpfl's over for a few hours. Since the Stumpfl's had to take their kids home early to put them to bed, we did a early New Year's celebration for the kids. It started off with a pinata. They all had fun swinging as hard as they could!



Next was the parade. I didn't really have this in mind when I bought all the hats and noise makers but it was so stinking cute! Each kid got to pick a hat and two noise makers and then I had them parade down the stairs and around all the adults yelling "Happy New Year."

I think it was a success! Once we put all the kids down around 10ish, the adults were able to play cards and hang out and have some of our own fun! Thanks again to both families for a fabulous night!

Penguin Parade

Mitch and I both took Monday off from work so we decided to take the kids to the aquarium. As we were taking off our coats to check them we were approached and asked if we wanted to lead the penguin parade. The kids were King and Queen of the parade and were all decked out. When it was time for the parade to start, Will and Morgan were supposed to walk in front of the penguins yelling "Here come the penguins." Instead, Will buried his head into my side and wouldn't look at anyone in the crowd. Morgan on the other hand, giggled and laughed and waved at the crowd and even yelled penguins a few times.


The rest of the morning went great. The kids pointed out all the different fish and creatures to us and just ran back and forth to all the windows. I tried to get a shot of the sharks in this tank but you can't see them all that well.

Christmas 2009 - trains, kitchens, and babies galore

Setting out the milk and cookies was pretty interesting this year. Morgan dropped the plate of cookies twice and Will drank half the milk...but they kept asking if Santa was going to enjoy their homemade cookies!





Christmas was so much fun this year. The kids just got so much delight out of all of their presents, it was just amazing to see the joy on their faces. My family has been truly blessed this year with good health and happiness!



Santa was very nice to the kids this year and brought Morgan her own kitchen set and Will a very nice train table and train set. My Dad, or I mean Santa, did a fabulous job building the train table....thanks!!



My dad also built Morgan a doll bed for all her new babies. She apparently wanted to sleep with her babies and hopped right in with them!




Later that day my sister's family came over to celebrate and have out big Christmas meal. Kailyn is finally getting her wish...Morgan now LOVES to play with her and follow her around!
