Halloween at it's best!

These pictures probably sum up the kids personalities the best I've seen yet. Morgan of course wanted to dig right in and get dirty.

Will on the other hand was and will probably always be my cautious one. He didn't want to put his hands in the pumpkin and wouldn't touch the seeds until he saw his sister doing it and then didn't want to be left out.

They both still had fun though and thought the finished pumpkins were pretty cool.

On Halloween, Debbie's family came over for a quick meal and some pictures before we went our separate ways to trick or treat. Believe or not, we did not plan this but the boys both ended up being Spiderman.

Kailyn was Super Woman and Morgan was Wonder Woman.....have you noticed a theme yet?

Nathan was the unique one of the bunch and went with a Storm Trooper costume! He loves everything Star Wars!

Costume Party and the Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend was full of fun fall activities. Friday night Mitch and I went to an adult costume party at our neighbor's house. The theme was the good, the bad, and the ugly...so of course Mitch wanted to be a cowboy so I decided to be an Indian. My parents watched the kids for us so it was nice to have a night out!

On Sunday we packed up the kids and my parents and met my sister's family at Iron's Fruit Farm. We went last year as well and they have a really nice setup. The main event in the fall is huge hay wagon ride out to a massive pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin. They also have apple picking and corn mazes every year. This year they added a cute little train ride and donkey rides.

We didn't trust Morgan to sit down during the whole train ride since they weren't strapped in so Will got to ride with his cousin instead!

For some reason Will didn't want to ride the donkey but Morgan loved it. When it first started she was giggling and screeching, it was hilarious!

Ready for Halloween!

Last weekend, the Lupinetti's hosted a Halloween party for the kids. It was absolutely the cutest thing ever. The kids had so much fun so thank you to "Aunt Laurie and Uncle Tom" for a fantastic night!

There were a variety of events for the kids to do, the first being the traditional bobbing for apples. With only a little help Morgan dug right in! She apparently loves apples now so she would not let go of her apple the rest of the night.

The next event was eating donuts without your hands. Each kid had a donut tied to a string that was hanging from the tree and they had to try and eat it without their hands. Will really got into this one and ate at least half of it without his hands. The other kids all gave up and just ripped it off and then ate while they played :)

Finally, we ended the night with a big gooey chocolate cupcake. The perfect ending to the perfect party!

Say cheese

Last week I finally was able to get us all over to Portrait for new family pictures. The kids did amazing! I didn't order any printed copies of the two pictures below but I thought they were too cute not to share!

Morgan...where are you??

The kids were upstairs playing in Will's room one afternoon while I was folding laundry. When I was done I went to see what they were up to and I couldn't find Morgan anywhere. I knew Will could get the gate open at the top of the stairs but luckily I knew that Morgan hadn't yet mastered that task. So I was completely stumped and starting to get worried when I finally heard a little giggle coming from her room. I walked in and opened her armoire to find this.....

She has turned into quite the monkey. She was so proud of herself for climbing in and shutting the door! Our little monkey is growing up so quickly. Morgan had her 18 month well check today and she was 23 lbs 12 oz and 32 inches tall.

Nanny and Papa time

First of all, I apologize these are so late! Nanny and Papa Carson came in to visit early August right after we got back from Wisconsin. As always the kids loved showing off and entertaining their grandparents. Morgan was still getting over croup and strep throat but once the medicine kicked in she was back to her old self and having a great time. Mitch and I even got to have a night out without the kids so it was a fantastic visit. We are looking forward to our trip back to Oklahoma this fall!

Final Summer Vacation - Madison, Wisconsin

It's been a crazy summer filled with exciting trips. The kids and I ended our whirlwind summer travel with a visit to our friends in Wisconsin. Debbie, my mom, and I piled into a van with all five kids and made the trip up to see Sarah and her family. It was a packed van without an inch of space to spare but we made it!

The week was filled with tons of fun activities. We hung out at Ann's house and let the kids drive the cool cars and bikes. Will and Alex LOVED the motorcycles and actually did a pretty good job of steering them.


Since it was a warm day, we set up the slip and slide and this giant pirate ship/slide. Will wasn't so sure of the ship but after watching the big kids for awhile he got on and had a blast.


Morgan isn't afraid of anything. We were pushing her down the slip and slide and she giggled and laughed the whole way down!

Another day we went to visit Sarah's brother and sister in-law and took the kids to their local beach. I was shocked when Morgan dug right into the sand considering she hated it on our trip to Alabama a few weeks earlier.

A trip to Wisconsin wouldn't be complete without a stop by their fabulous FREE zoo.

The kids had a blast and wore themselves out every day. Thanks Sarah for letting us crash at your brand new house!

When all the kids were together we had 11 kids ages 6 and under. We were able to capture 10 of the 11 kids on this night. Baby Will (Sarah's son) was already in bed so he missed out on the group photo.

St. Mary's Lake

This past weekend we took an extended weekend trip to Grand Lake St. Mary's with two of my girlfriends and their families: Mary and John and their son Jack (11 months), and Erin and Tim and their son Nate (2 weeks younger than Morgan).

It was a little chilly but we still managed to have a good time. The adults were able to talk and catch up when the kids were sleeping. Will was the big kid for once so I kept telling him he had to help the little kids instead of being a bully!


Since it wasn't always warm enough to swim, the guys all got their fishing poles out and had some fun. Mitch and Will caught about 6 fish throughout the weekend.

We decided to reserve a boat for Saturday morning and of course when we woke up that day it was extremely chilly and rainy. We made the best of it though and bundled the kids up and took them out. After the initial scariness of the boat wore off they all actually loved it.

The last morning before we left we tried to get a group shot of the kids...not an easy task with four kids under the age of 3!
