Big Girl

Morgan is becoming such a big girl these days. It seems like every day she does something new!

About a week ago we started her on cereal and of course the first few times she ended up with more on her face than in her mouth but she seems to be getting the hang of it now!

Last Sunday Morgan reached a major milestone....she rolled over!! This picture is right after she did it for the second time (from back to stomach) and she is so proud of herself. I am trying to capture it on video but haven't had any luck so far.

Crazy kid

We've had a lot of rain the past few weeks so we've been stuck inside quite a bit. This has forced Will to find other ways to exert all of his energy...

Sweet Sibling Love...

Will is really starting to pay attention to Morgan and loves holding her. On a few occasions he's even gotten mad at us when we take her away from him. If only they would act so sweet to each when they get bigger too!

For some reason whenever we have Morgan laying on her playmat Will has to come over to play with it and lay next to his sister. I think he's afraid he's going to miss something or as Mitch would say "He's nosy just like his mother!"

Stops in Kansas and St. Louis

Brian and Joy live only a few hours away from Stillwater so we loaded everyone up and went for a visit. Mitch's Aunt Joanne and Uncle Wayland joined us as well. Ainsley was all about her cousin Morgan and wanted to hold her all the time. Garrett and Atlee were more into Will and playing outside. It was a fantastic trip and again we wish we could see them more often.

On our way back home we stopped and spent the night in St. Louis at the kids Aunt Teresa's house. Will was able to play outside with his cousin when we got there before he finally had a meltdown and had to go to bed. She was full of energy though and stayed up with us after Morgan and Will went to bed to fill us in on her exciting life. To see all the pictures from both stops, please go to the family albums.

So much to do, so little time...

Since we were only visiting for a week and we don't get to see Mitch's parents very often, we crammed a lot into one week. This first picture is Morgan getting a bath in the kitchen sink. I guess it's become a bit of a tradition b/c we gave Will a bath at about the same age in that sink as well.

We decided to take Will to the park one morning to let him burn off some energy. It was a fantastic park and he really enjoyed climbing all the different towers and going down the slides. As we were getting ready to leave a bunch of geese came towards us expecting food. We were afraid to let Will go since he was extremely eager to run and touch them! Where is Morgan during all of this...well she's in her Bjorn carrier attached to me so unfortunately there weren't any pictures of her enjoying the park.

I just thought these were cute of the kids getting ready for bed one night and then one of Will during his nap. The poor kid played so hard everyday that he crashed at naptime.
This last picture is of Mitch's Cousin Doris who came over to visit and see the kids. She lives in Stillwater so we always try to see her when we are in town. It was a short but wonderful visit!

Fun in the sun

It was in the high 80's and 90's the whole time we were in Oklahoma so Papa got out both of the pools he had and let Will go swimming. Will pulled just about everything he could into the water to play with and then decided he wanted to play with the hose. Once he figured out how to work it he decided it was fun to squirt all of us and himself!

Nana and Papa

Last week we took a road trip to Oklahoma to let the kids see their grandparents. The long drive was definitely worth it. Will loved every minute of it, especially when Papa fed him ice cream! Morgan was great and let both of her grandparents get some cuddle time in with her. We were there for about a week and it was full of fun and adventures. I split up some of pictures into a few posts but if you want to see all of them from the whole week, go to our family photo albums on the right.

Baptism

A few weeks ago on Mother's day, Morgan was baptized. Her Godparents, Brian and Joy Carson, were unable to make it in for the ceremony so my brother and sister in-law (Steve and Georgann) stood in for them. Morgan held up to her reputation and cried for a good part of the Baptism and then stopped almost immediately when Pastor handed her back to me. I think we've got a serious Mama's girl on our hands! We were very fortunate that all of my relatives were able to make it in since they live close and also one of our close friends. Please look at the family albums for all the pictures!
