Need a ride?

Will's grandparents weren't able to make the trip in for his b-day party from Oklahoma but they bought this car for him and it arrived today. Mitch was excited to have him try it out so he put it together as soon as he got home from work. The battery was still charging so Will couldn't make it go anywhere on his own yet but he still thought it was pretty neat! He even pushed it around the house a few times and was so proud of himself! He is definitely going to love driving it all over this summer!

Party time...

Saturday was Will's first birthday party and as you can see, he had a blast. Since we had experienced how messy he could get with cake the night before, we decided to strip him down this time to avoid messy clothes.

Will was lucky enough to have some of his cousins and friends make the party and they all seemed to enjoy his new toys. Most of the gifts he received are for this spring when he can play outside but that didn't seem to stop the kids from having fun with them in the house! Happy Birthday...

Friday was Will's actual birthday so we decided to go ahead and celebrate with just the three of us. Will's babysitter was very sweet and made him a special cake so we let him have a practice run before his party! He hadn't been feeling very well the past few days so I wasn't expecting much but he seemed to perk up when we put food in front of him. He must have gotten that trait from his father!

What a difference a year makes!

We took Will this weekend to get his pictures taken and they turned out great. Although we had to wait for over an hour for our turn, he was still in a good mood and able to smile and flirt with the photographers!

Was he really this tiny??

With Will's birthday only a week away, I decided to look at some old pictures today and ran across these from when he was just one week old. It's so hard to believe he was ever this tiny!

Almost one...

This is a recent picture of Will playing with one of his Christmas presents. He's quite the ham these days and usually runs towards us as soon as he sees the camera.
