December

Since I'm so far behind on the pictures again, I'm not going to spend a lot of time on the descriptions but I will say it was a fun month with tons of great activities. The kids were at such a fun age this year and it really made the holiday season magical for us!

The first snow of the season...

Attempting to sit with Santa...Morgan wouldn't go anywhere near him!

Will's preschool Christmas program...

Christmas in Kokomo with the all of the Benziger's.....such a great time! The kids had a blast sledding with all their cousins and playing around!

Early Christmas present from the Pautrot's...they played non-stop for hours!

We continued our annual tradition of making cookies. Each year they've gotten better and better!

Not sure if you can see them but I couldn't find our Christmas cookie cutters so all of our "Christmas" sugar cookies are hearts, the number 2 and 3, etc.

I took TONS of pictures from Christmas Day as well as the rest of the month. This is from Christmas Eve after they set the milk and cookies out. For all the rest of the pictures from the month go to our web albums.

Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!

Oklahoma and Thanksgiving 2010

I'm behind once again but what can I say....I'm a working mom with two little munchkins at home to keep me busy! We took a trip out to Oklahoma in October to see my wonderful mother and father in-law. Other than a minor incident on the way there, the kids did fantastic on the 14 hour drive.

Once there, we of course had a blast. The kids couldn't get enough of their grandparents and even got to see their Uncle Brian and two of their cousins. There are a tons of great pictures in the web albums but here are a few of my favorite from the trip!

For Thanksgiving this year we met Mitch's parents at Teresa's house. They have a beautiful house and we loved being able to stay with them and spend some quality time with family. Thanks Teresa for the wonderful food and great times! The kids enjoyed playing with Julianne and feeding the ducks and all the other fun things they could find.

Happy October!

I can't believe it's been two months since I've posted, I'm such a slacker! I'll start with October and work my way backward so look below this post for Will's first day of school and other big events!

We started off the festivities with our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with my family. Morgan was so picky and had a few breakdowns until she found the "perfect" pumpkin.

Pumpkin carving is also a annual event in our house. This year we tried to let the kids be more involved so after they emptied out all the seeds, they helped daddy draw the faces on the pumpkins!

This year we decided to try something new and hit up Parky's Farm. It was a really neat place and I'm so glad we decided to go. They had so many fun things for the kids to do including a giant obstacle course, a bounce house, a fun house, hayride through a light show, animals to see, a toddler haunted house...and more!

It's not fall without some leaves. Just last week, the kids wanted to help us rake and blow the leaves. Will is just like his daddy and has to play with all his tools and gadgets!

Finally, Halloween night. It was a bit cold so I had to put jackets on under their outfits. It didn't seem to stop the kids at all. They had no problems running from house to house. Will was the protective older brother this year and kept telling all the people that his sister couldn't have peanuts. If they gave her something he thought had peanuts in it, he'd yell back to me to help her get rid of it! It was too cute!

1st day of School and Halloween Party

Will started school shortly after Labor day and has LOVED every second of it. Every morning that he wakes up he asks if it's a school day.

He handled the first day way better than I did. I was so nervous for him that morning that I didn't have time to get emotional. So once he walked in and didn't even look back or act afraid at all, it hit me.....my baby just started school and is growing up. That is when the waterworks started for me!

The week of Halloween, Will's preschool had a Halloween party. Parents were invited to come so I took a few hours off of work and went to see all the festivities. They got to wear their costumes for the party which included games, crafts, and of course snacks!

They ended the party with a parade so everyone could show off their costumes and then they sang a few songs. I got all the songs on video but don't have the time or energy to get them working on here...so for now you'll have to just imagine the songs! :)

Trains and Princesses

Back in September we surprised the kids with tickets to the Day out with Thomas. Will has such an obsession with Thomas and trains in general that I thought he'd enjoy it. He actually has what I call his "someday" list. Randomly in conversations I have with him, he'll say things like "Someday, I want to fly a airplane" or "Someday mommy, can I ride on a horse?" So I was excited to finally fulfill one of his "someday" wishes which was to ride on a train! A couple of our good friends joined us for the day which made it even better!

Once you got off the train they had all kinds of activities for the kids to do. Morgan and Will spent most of their time on the little putt putt course and the mini corn maze. All in all the day was a huge success!

Morgan is really getting into all the Disney shows lately, especially any of them that have a princess in it. Her favorite right now is Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She hadn't even seen the movie at the time but kept talking about being Belle for Halloween. I decided to have a girls day and take her to see the Disney Princess on Ice show. Kailyn, Aunt Debbie, Sarah, and Auntie Laurie all joined us as well. All the little girls there were dressed up in princess dresses! I don't think that Morgan moved a muscle for the entire first hour of the show. I can't say I blame her though, the show was fantastic!

I think that is it for now. To see all the pictures from the last few months, go to the family albums on the right. Stay tuned for pictures from our trip to Oklahoma....I hope to get them out this weekend!
