Summer Fun

I'm way behind on the pictures but I'm going to try my best to get everything out here. I'm starting with a bunch of randomn pictures that didn't necessarily go with any big event but that I thought were cute!

I can't remember when this was but the kids enjoyed having a very lazy Saturday morning with daddy watching cartoons.

One of my all time favorites - I can't believe how big they look! Not that I'm prejudice or anything but my kids are so dang cute :)

Just hanging out eating popsicles...one of their special summer treats.

The kids have definitely started to love the water. Will asks to go "wimming" as he calls it almost every day. This picture is from my sister's neighborhood pool. We try to make it there on the weekends whenever we are free.

Morgan loves to give us her big "cheese" grin whenever she sees the camera.

***As always, to see all the pictures we've taken so far this summer look at the family web albums! ***

Happy 4th Birthday Sarah

It's hard to believe but Sarah turned 4 last week. It honestly seems like it was just yesterday that I was at the hospital with Tom and Laurie waiting for Sarah to make her debut.

Happy, Happy Birthday Sarah. We love you!

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

The Carson crew from Kansas came in for a visit over the holiday weekend. We hadn't seen them in about a year so we were all very, very excited. We had a blast hanging out and letting the cousins all play. Of course, we also had a jam packed 5 days that included a Reds game, the Air Force Museum in Dayton, a full day at Kings Island, and a trip to museum center/omnimax. Needless to say everyone was exhausted but we loved every minute of it!

This isn't the best picture in the world but I still wanted to share it. This is a B52 Bomber that Papa Carson, AKA Lieutenant Colonel Carson, flew on a few missions when he was active in the Air Force. Will and Morgan are too young to understand but I think it's so incredibly neat to have this picture to share with them when they get older!

**as always, see the photo albums for all the pictures from the weekend**

First Communion

Our niece had her first communion a few weekends ago so we were planning on making the trip in for the big event. Unfortunately, Morgan woke up with croup the day we were supposed to leave so I stayed home with her and Mitch and Will made the trip. From what I understand it was a fabulous weekend and Julianne looked stunning in her dress! Will had a blast playing at the park with his nanny and papa and cousin Julianne. Morgan and I missed seeing everyone but I'm glad they all had fun!

First Haircut
Morgan's hair is growing like mad right now and it's been growing in kind of crazy. So a few weeks ago, I took her in to get her first trim. It only lasted about 5 minutes since I just had them trim the back and sides to even it out...but she did great!!

Too sleepy to eat lunch!

Bucket of fun!

We had filled up a bucket with water to do a few things outside and when we turned around we found Will climbing in fully clothed and with his shoes on. He had the greatest time standing in that bucket and sitting down fast to splash all the water out.

Later that day, my friend came over with her son Ethan to play on the new swing set.

Kings Island

Our company once again rewarded all of the employees with a day at Kings Island. They reserve the entire park so it's a very nice perk. The lines aren't nearly as long as they are when it's open to the public. This year Debbie and Kailyn joined us. The weather was rainy and chilly but the kids still had a great time. Kailyn was such an awesome big cousin and took Will and Morgan on all the rides in the kiddie land. I was a little worried about Morgan at first but she is quite the dare devil!

New Swing Set

Mitch, Dan, and my Dad spent the entire weekend building a gymset for the kids. They worked incredibly hard all weekend and it paid off. The gymset is about 90% complete and it looks amazing. I forgot to take very many in progress pictures but here are the few I did take. The kids are going to LOVE it!!

Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter Egg Hunt #1 - this was the weekend before Easter at one of the local churches. We "practiced" that morning before the hunt so they both were really into finding all the eggs. Of course at this kind of hunt the eggs are just laying all over in the grass so they don't really have to do anyting but pick them up!

Easter Egg Hunt #2 - On Good Friday, we took the kids to an Easter Egg hunt at their cousin's gymnastics center. After the hunt there was an open gym and they could play around on all the equipment. Will and Morgan ran up and down one of the long trampolines all night long....they were worn out when we left there! Kailyn and Nathan both showed us some of their tricks they learned from class which was really cool.

The kids all had a blast coloring eggs. We had quite the variety of colors and decorations for them to choose from.

Sunday Morning we headed off to church and when we got home the Easter bunny had left them a surprise.
