Pump it up

Last week, Kailyn had her 6th birthday so she celebrated with a party at Pump it up. For those of you that don't know it's a really neat place that has two separate rooms with all different kinds of huge blow up slides, mazes, etc. Even though Will was a little too young to enjoy all the different things, it was a fun day. Plus my brother's family came in town so it was nice to see them and catch up! (of course I didn't manage to capture any pictures of them)

This is Nathan getting ready to joust another kid at the party!

Catching up

Since video's take a little longer to uplaod I've been letting them pile up the last few months. I know the Oklahoma grandparents have been patiently waiting so here you go!

This one is from early fall when Morgan decided to "chase' me down the driveway.

It's a bird, it's an ...

Will was not a big fan of the ocean when we went on vacation but Mitch tried a few times to get him used to the waves. Maybe next year we'll actually get him past his ankles!

Morgan loves to jump so she therefore LOVES her doorway jumper. Here is a video of her doing it all by herself....

and one with a little help from her big brother...

We babysat Alex a few weekends ago and the boys had a blast. Here are two of the many ways they entertained themselves that evening!

Happy Halloween

A few days before Halloween we finally had time to carve a pumpkin. Will was a little hesitant at first but then he dug both hands in and had fun digging out the pumpkin seeds. When Will went to bed I finished carving the design!

Thursday night we realized we hadn't even tried the kids costumes on yet so we weren't sure if they fit. Luckily they both fit great. Will was a pirate and Morgan was a cute little mouse. Morgan didn't seem bothered at all by the hood but she didn't like the gloves covering her hands!

Trick or Treat!!
I took the kids around on Friday and Mitch sat with the other dads in the middle of the court and handed out candy. Will did so much better than I expected! He had practiced saying "trick or treat" for 2 weeks prior but of course he was too shy to say it that night. I did manage to get him to say "thank you" a few times though. When we made our way back to Daddy to show off the candy, Will finally got a little curious and opened up a sucker. I think that is when he figured out that helping yourself a bunch of candy is fun!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we took the kids to a local pumpkin patch and apple orchard. Kailyn decided to go with us so she could pick some apples for her mom. Well when we got there we found out that it was closing in a half and hour so we were a little sad that we only had time to do the pumpkins. Will and Kailyn had a great time on the hayride out to the huge pumpkin patch and picking their own special pumpkins!

Family Vacation

We just got back from a week in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida with some friends of ours, Mike and Kelly, and their children, Ryan and Ava. We had a great time despite the fact that I took two trips to the Urgent care...Morgan had an ear infection and both Will and Morgan ended up with Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease.

These pics are of the kids just goofing around at the condo. It wasn't a huge place so the four kids were kind of climbing all over each other all week but they loved every second of it.

The majority of the time was spent enjoying the sun, sand, and water. Will had a blast playing with all the toys in the sand with Ryan and Ava. They even got their dads to dig a huge hole and tunnel in the sand one of the days (of course I forgot the camera that day).

The weather was really nice for the majority of the trip but we had 2 rainy days that made the kids go a little crazy. To prevent the adults from going insane as well as the kids, we tried to find things for them to do. The men took the older kids to the Air Force museum one day and then we all went to a really neat Children's Science museum the other day. They loved them both because they could touch all the cool stuff!

On the last day we were there the guys decided they wanted to golf. Kelly and I didn't think we could handle all 4 kids at the beach by ourselves so we decided to take them to this really neat outdoor playground. All the toys are made of this soft rubber so they can climb all over them without getting hurt.

Crazy kids

Now that we only live about 5 minutes from my sister we like to get together on the weekends and let the kids play. Will and his cousin Alex are only 3 weeks apart so it's been so interesting to watch them grow up together. On this particular night they decided they didn't need their booster seats and wanted to sit in the big chairs and eat chips.

Just this past week, my friend Laurie came over for dinner with her children since her husband was out of town. I hadn't gotten any snuggle time in with her adorable baby boy lately so I was partially being selfish too :) Sarah is about 2 years older than Will so he loves to follow her around and do what she does. For some reason this night they really wanted to sit on our bar stools at the island. They were perfectly content just sitting there talking to each other.

Little Miss Morgan is now getting into everything. She is such a monkey and is really starting to pull herself up and climb on and over things!

On your mark, get set, go....

Morgan reached a huge milestone about two weeks ago...she decided she was ready to CRAWL!! She had been doing the army crawl for quite some tome but one Saturday morning she just got up on all fours and took off. Now she and Will love to "chase" each other around, it is so cute to watch! I love that they are starting to interact more and more.

Why not to pack with a toddler around...

Well we finally sold our house, or at least we think have (long story that I'll share another time). We found a new house we love and it's now officially ours. So it's been a crazy few weeks but over Labor day weekend we moved into our new home. The pictures below are from the weeks prior when I was packing up the house. Will thought packing and the boxes were fun...Mommy did not!! I am so glad I'm done packing and upacking. Mitch and I both agreed we are not moving again for a very, very long time.
